Valerie has worked with and trained dogs for a
number of years. She utilizes positive
reinforcement methods, which are scientifically
based on how dogs learn.
Completed a 3-year program at
Companion Animal Science Institute receiving a
diploma in Dog Training and Behavior Consulting,
she specializing in fearful and aggressive dogs
Valerie currently trains and consults in the Ann
Arbor, MI area where she resides with her 4
terrier mixes
She has volunteered as a dog handler, dog walker
and dog monitor at the Huron Valley Humane
Society. She and her terrier mix, Howie are active
members of Therapaws of Michigan and Therapy
Dogs Inc. Each holiday season the pair bell ring for
the Salvation Army in downtown Ann Arbor where
Howie was trained, by Valerie, to take the money in
his mouth and drop it into the kettle.
